Blabber Board Archive

Before Twitter, before Facebook, before MySpace - there was the Blabber Board. Starting in 1998, this simple guestbook script on the Caulfield Records website became an unlikely gathering place for fans, bands, and friends of the label. People would drop in from around the world to talk about shows, records, life, and whatever else was on their mind. It ran for eight years and accumulated over 20,000 posts. This is that archive.

The Blabber Board was started in 1996 or 1997. Unfortunately (or fortunately, as the case may be!) those earliest archives are lost, including all of 1999. What is collected here is a snapshot of what remains. A glimpse into a small community of music lovers before social media consumed the internet and all of our attention.
